The SDW 5016 is a wireless DECT headset system that was recently released by Sennheiser. It’s flexible and features up to triple connectivity for PC via a softphone, desk telephones and mobile devices. The SDW 5016 is optimised for Unified Communications (UC) and is certified for Skype for Business. Its easy to use interface streamlines basic call functions and improves worker productivity. This model can be worn in three different styles to suit any wearing preferences for each user. Users have a choice in wearing either an ear hook or, a headband or neckband for a comfortable and customised fit.
The 5016 features super wideband sound offering users high quality sound and voice clarity. The SDW 5016 has an average battery life of up to 10 hours and can support a full working days’ worth of use. It also has a fast charging feature and can charge the headset up to 50% of battery in 30 minutes. Its two-microphone noise-cancelling system produces richer sound and improved speech clarity even in noisy surroundings. There is a high density wideband mode available for improved communication ability in loud and high density environments.
The SDW 5016 headset has a long distance wireless range of up to 180 metres within line of sight so users have the ability to roam the office while taking a phone call. For uninterrupted phone calls, the headset has a built in busy light indicator located on the microphone side. There is also an option to purchase and additional busy light indicator for the desk if needed. The 5016 can set up a conference call using one base station and can connect up to 4 SDW 5016 headsets in the call.
